Special offer for preparation ahead of the summer school
If you have any questions concerning the course content and would like to prepare ahead of time for the summer school, we are offering to be available already from Wednesday, August 9 to Friday, August 11, 2023, on-site before the System Vision Science Summer School starts. For that time, however, you need to take care of your meals yourself and you have to let us know in advance that you would like to meet us.
First week (summer school)
09:00 – 12:30
Lecture on encoding incl. guided exercise session and coffee break
13:30 – 16:30
Time for preparation and lecture on encoding incl. coffee break
16:45 – 21:00
Frontier topics and interactive discussion sessions on encoding with subsequent discussion and poster session.
There will be a break for dinner.
Second week (summer school & symposium)
09:00 – 12:30
Lecture on decoding incl. guided exercise session and coffee break
13:30 – 16:30
Time for preparation and lecture on decoding incl. coffee break
16:45 – 21:00
Frontier topics and interactive discussion sessions on decoding or recognition with subsequent discussion and poster session.
There will be a break for dinner.
Venue
The summer school will be held at the Tübingen AI Center (Maria-von-Linden-Straße 6, 72076 Tübingen); the symposium will be held at the Max-Planck-Institute for Intelligent Systems (Max-Planck-Ring 4, 72076 Tübingen). Both institutes are near by.
Certificate
After successful participation at our Systems Vision Science Summer School and Symposium, you will get a certificate for attendance from us.
If you are a student from the University of Tuebingen and successfully applied (see Application), you can get credit points after completion of the event if your study program lists this event – please check this in ALMA (please see the courses offered in the summer semester 2023) or ask your study secretary. Grading policy and prerequisites for credit points are listed in ALMA.
